Ethiopian Opal
The name “opal” derives from the Greek opalios, meaning “to see a change of colors.” According to ancient myth, the stone was born from the joyful tears of Zeus, god of the sky and thunder, after his victory over the Titans. Opal was considered a divine gift, bringing hope, trust and good fortune.

Meaning
Ethiopian opal symbolizes creativity, inspiration and new beginnings. It is often worn to awaken intuition, spark fresh ideas and restore your inner glow. Believed to shield against negativity, it helps release the past and embrace a new path. Opal is also October’s birthstone and traditionally associated with a 14th anniversary.
